A Christmas Tradition

Christmas Tree is up! I can't believe it took me so long to get it up this year. The past two years it was up before Thanksgiving. I like to spread my love of Christmas out for as long as I can. As a matter of fact I think we should celebrate Christmas for more than one day.

Anway, my Sister-in-Law helped me haul it all out of storage and then I built it in the living room. Let me tell you, I have a HUGE beautiful tree but it's kind of large for my little living room.

Anyway I'm building the tree and I get to the top and realize that I have a whole other set of branches and no where to put them. So, I drop to the ground and crawl under the tree to find that I missed a whole row of branches.

At this moment realization hits and I remember . . . I did the SAME thing last year! Seriously? How do you mess up an artificial tree TWO YEARS IN A ROW?????

Luckily it was the bottom row that I missed. Well, what I actually did was start the bottom row a level higher than it was supposed to be. So, unless I tell someone (like, I told you) you wouldn't know that I even missed it.

Maybe next year I'll get it right? Or maybe I'll just continue the tradition.

Yada Yada Yada

I'm sitting here trying to come up with something to entertain my readers . . . so far nothings happening.

We put my Christmas tree up yesterday. I have a story about that. Look for it tomorrow.

I'm feeling very random at the moment. So, I went over to Wikipedia and clicked on random aritcle. I got a ton of articles about people I've never heard of. A couple of bugs and a few music albums.

Needless to say, I have nothing amazing or mind blowing for you today.

So, let me just say this: I hope everyone had a spectacular Thanksgiving and enjoyed much family time and much food. I'm looking forward to white Christmas . . .  In. My. Dreams! (It's not fair that we don't get snow.)

Sneaky, Sneaky

I made gingerbread cookies the other day. I put them all in the cookie bucket and put the cookie bucket in it's usual spot.

The Kiddo would ask for a cookie every now and then and I would often give him one. Not all the time of course, but you know.

Well, I went for a cookie a couple days ago and when I opened up the bucket there were about four cookies left. I had noticed earlier that day that the bucket was looking sparse but didn't think too much about it.

Anyway, I grabbed my cookie and sat down. Then I said to J, "I think the Kiddo's been sneaking cookies while I'm not looking."

J answered,  "He has. Everytime you leave he gets one and gives me one."

No wonder my cookies are disappearing.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I would like to take this opportunity to list just a few of the things that I'm thankful for.

* My family. I am blessed with a wonderful family. Immediate and extended on both mine and my husband's sides (for the most part.)

* Good health. Especially that I have a healthy child.

*A place to live. Even though it's not a mansion or even a large house. I love my little apartment.

* Food to eat. I may not be able to afford Olive Garden and Red Lobster all the time (or at all) but I also have more to eat than a bowl of rice once a day.

* Clothes. Even if they're not brand new and I might be wearing the same clothes now that I wore in College. The bright side? I haven't gained too much weight and they still fit me.

* Cell phone, internet and all those little luxuries.

There are so many more things but I didn't want to bore anyone with an extensive list. I hope you all take time to be thankful today. Have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!

HGotW - Johnny Depp (Fourth Edition)

I figured  since he was voted Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine I would feature Johnny Depp this week. I think he's a great actor. It seems as though he's a chameleon. Whatever role he takes on he becomes that character.  I caught This Interview with him on Letterman. It was funny how very soft spoken he was. It seemed like David was pulling teeth to get him to speak. It was cute. Anyway . . .

Johnny Depp

So, he's the "Sexiest Man Alive" and the sexiest pirate ever. Hehe.

And for the guys (And I have to say she's really pretty.)

Kate Beckinsale

(Wow, I wish I looked like this. lol. At LEAST the hair!)

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

It's that time again! I love Tuesdays! Happy Random Tuesday! Click the box below and join the fun over at Keely's blog.

randomtuesday

1. I don't mind fanfic at all. As a matter of fact . . .  I may have been known to read some of it. However, and I found this very disturbing, fanfiction should be used with characters that have been created and NOT real people. I've signed up for some google alerts and I'm constantly getting links for "fanfic" stories involving these people and their friends. REAL people, not characters, the actual people. Ick. I sure hope these people never see this.

2. Adam Lambert. AMA's. What the  . . . ??????? (Just FYI This video is PG-13 at least)

3. I dreamed about Adam Lambert Sunday night after the AMA's . . . It was bound to happen . . . *Shudders*

3. I play Date of the Day on Facebook everyday. I NEVER end up with anyone I'm interested in ending up with. Although I've been dating Leonardo Dicaprio and Robert Pattinson pretty regularly. I'll let you know how it's going. My real question is why do I keep getting stuck with these guys and my friends get Johnny Depp?!!?!?!?!?

4. I HATE being broke this time of year (I hate being broke any time, really). Last year I had garland up around all my doors and doorways. This year I have streamers in the appropriate colors. Oh well, at least I have streamers.

5. Saw New Moon last night. I really liked it. A million times better than Twilight. Taylor Lautner made me feel bad for and even kind of like Jacob (NOT an easy thing to do, let me tell you). Also, I think Michael Sheen as Aro was great. He stole the scene. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

6. I updated my blog editor thing. WHERE is the spell check?!!?!?!?!?!?!? Help! Please???

Christmas Movies

I can't seem to get away from the Christmas stuff recently (Sorry, Cate).

I'm happy to report that I've seen a few houses around town with twinkling lights and Christmas trees in the windows. It makes me smile.

Around this time of year I like to break out the Christmas movies. The problem with that is that I don't have a lot of Christmas movies. Hard to believe, I know. Actually as far as "Christmas" movies go we have a grand total of four. Three Santa Claus movies (Tim Allen) and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Some of my favorite mood movies:

Little Women. I know this isn't technically a Christmas move (that's why it wasn't on the above list). But it just puts me in a Christmasy mood.

Then there's White Christmas, a classic. Gotta love Danny Kaye (I do anyway. Hehe)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas. How can you have Christmas without the Grinch?

A Christmas Carol. I prefer the movie "Scrooge" (with Albert Finney from 1970). It's a musical and it's so much fun.

Of course there are others however my brain is fried right now and I can't think of them. I'll have to do another Christmas movie post.

What are your favorite Holiday movies?

Cookies!

Alright! Cookies! (Not random at all . . . )

I want to bake Christmas cookies. The only problems are A. If I bake them now I'll eat them all. B. I could freeze them but I'm afraid they won't freeze well and then turn out icky. (Has anyone ever frozen cookies?)

I have a few recipes I'd like to try. But, I need to be in the mood to bake cookies. They take a lot of time (I only have two cookies sheets) and space. Dedication is required to put in a few hours of cookie baking.

Any suggestions on good cookie recipes that freeze well? I need them to freeze for about a month (if I made them today).

I saw this website today. I might give some of those a try. I also spend a lot of time on the All Recipes site (If you've never been there you should absolutely check it out). I've found a few cookie recipes there that look like fun.

Now my problem is deciding which ones I actually want to make. I can't do them all.

Chloe 2

August 27, 2009: I purchased Chloe (My LGenV3).

Most of the time she worked great. Then after I had her for about a month she started acting up. I would go to make a phone call or send a text and find that she had powered off. So, I would turn her back on and go about my day.

This would happen every other day, every three days, occasionally every day and it was starting to get irritating. I have a phone so people can get a hold of me and I can get a hold of them. How is anyone supposed to get a hold of me when my phone has turned herself off? (Maybe it was some form of protest?)

A few days ago (Sunday) I took Chloe to the Verizon store and told the lady what the problem was. She said "Oh you just need a software update. Let me do that for you."

I gladly handed over my phone and she went to update. The Kiddo and I ran to the store and then back for my phone. She handed it to me and I was very happy. I assumed I would no longer have to deal with Chloe's tantrums.

I walked out to the car, buckled the Kiddo in his car seat, sat down, started the car and looked at my phone. Off. Okay, I figured, optimistically, she was just resetting. Fifteen minutes later, Off. Does anyone see a pattern forming here? A couple hours later I was home, grabbed the phone, Off. This is now getting annoying. More annoying than it was before. She would throw her little tantrum and power off at least twice a day.

So, Wednesday I took her back. I couldn't handle it anymore. I traded her in. I am now the proud owner of Chloe 2. Same exact model phone, just a new one. It took AGES to get it all taken care of and get all my numbers and photo's transferred. Of course, I also lost my ring tones (Bye bye, Christian Kane). So, now I have to do those again.

I'm hoping however that this has taken care of the issue and Chloe 2 (Which will most likely be shortened to Chloe. Hey, it's almost still her, same battery.) and I will be great friends.

How do you like it?

How do you like your coffee?

I can pretty much drink coffee in any form. I don't care, just hand it over and no one gets hurt.

When I first started drinking coffee I drank it black. My Dad drank it black and I guess I figured if he did it all the time, then why not?

I asked him once why he drank it black. His answer was this:

When he was younger he lived in a house with his Dad, his step-mom, four step-siblings and his own sister. He said every morning there was a line at the cream and sugar. He decided that he didn't want to stand around and wait so he skipped the line and drank the coffee black.

I often drink mine black. Unless I find a really great looking creamer at the store. Then I have to try it. Currently I'm using International Delight's Caramel Macchiato. It's good but it tastes NOTHING like a REAL Caramel Macchiato. I'm just trying to use it up so I can try a Gingerbread or Peppermint or something. Tis the season!

Iced Coffee from McDonalds is delicious, I usually get Hazelnut and I let them put all their cream and sugar in that too. See, I told you I drink it anyway you hand it to me! (as long as it's not lifting weights or trapping large animals. That would be "strong" or "tar-like.")

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Random! Random! Random Tuesday! Yay! I love Tuesdays!

randomtuesday

Click the Random box above and head over to Keely's blog to play along!

1. I saw two deer the other night in the middle of town. They were running from one little patch of trees on one side of the road to another little patch of trees on the other side. I have no idea where they came from or where they were going because we really don't have "woods" around here at all. Just little patches of trees here and there.

2. There's this movie that I've been waiting and waiting for. It's called Ca$h and it's been in production in some form or another for years. I'm talking something like three years. I think it was supposed to come out in '07. Well, that never happened but it's FINALLY getting there. I am so excited. I sure hope it's worth all this anticipation. Sean Bean is in it so even if it turns out it's not that spectacular, at least it won't be a total waste.

3. Making Caramel French Toast for breakfast today. I'll let you know how it turns out. The picture makes my mouth water and I want a glass of milk just looking at it.

4. If you didn't see my blog yesterday you should really check it out. Brighten a Soldiers day! (Especially around this time of year.)

5. All the hype about New Moon has me almost wanting to read the Twilight Series again. Maybe just the good parts? (That would be anything with Edward and nothing with Jake. Sorry, Jake.)

6. Nice and cool here yesterday (and hopefully today too). We even had the heat on. Although to be honest I probably wouldn't have turned the heat on except that J really wanted it. He seems to get cold a lot faster than I do.

I hope you enjoyed this weeks, rather short, edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts! Have a great day!

Forty-four Cents a Week?

I was on Twitter the other day (naturally) and I came across something very interesting.

It is from the website Thank You Soldier. It is the "Letters" Project.

You can go to the site and sign up to recieve a weekly e-mail that includes the address of a Soldier.

For the price of a stamp and a few minutes of your time you can brighten a day and show your support for our Troops.

I absolutely signed up and I'm excited to participate. I think it's an awesome thing for us to do to try to encourage our men and women.

If you feel that this is something you're interested in, check out "Letters" Project.

Snug as a Bug

Blankets.

I love blankets.

I have so many blankets, you wouldn't believe.

I don't know how this obsession started or when actually. I just know that I've accumulated a vast amount of comforters, throws, fleece and baby blankets during the past few years.

When I was younger I had a bunk bed. Yes I'm an only child, what of it? I was just spoiled blessed when I was younger. Actually I don't really think I was that spoiled. I just asked for a bunk bed for Christmas one year and received it as a joint gift from my Gram and an Aunt. I often had friends over so it was nice to have a bed for them.

Anyway, with the bunk bed came two cute, matching, flowery comforters. I also, of course, had a comforter for the bed that I had before that one. So, at this point I was, oh maybe 9 and had three comforters.

Quite a few years later I requested a down comforter for Christmas. Kind of as a "hope chest" item. (Even though I never actually had a hope chest.) I didn't get my down comforter but I did get a large "Down Alternative" comforter. (That's Four comforters so far, if you've lost count, by age . . . 17?)

When I got married my husband and I received an awesome leopard print comforter for a wedding shower gift.

Later while my husband worked as a Mall Security Guard he was driving around the parking lot after closing and in the dumpster behind a store was a brand new (to this day I don't know WHY it was in there) queen size comforter. Bright green on one side and kind of checkered on the other with green and pink and white. Very cute.

Also somehow we acquired another twin bed comforter from some friends. (We're now up to 7 comforters.)

This does not include the myriad of throws (Two of which were 25 dollar soft and fluffy blankets that were in the dumpster with the green comforter.) that we have. A blanket that was made for my husband, a Sun Moon and Stars fuzzy blanket that was a gift from my Mom, a soft and fuzzy planet/space themed blanket that is my sons, an afghan that was made for me by my best friend, a giant teddy bear blanket also from mom and the million and one baby blankets, baby comforters and fleece throws.

To top it all off, the other day I went next door to a yard sale and found an awesome full size comforter that goes great in my son's room. (Comforter 8)

Needless to say when someone comes to stay at our house, they'll NEVER be cold!

(Thanks for sticking around for my history of blanket acquisitions.)

If you've read The Lost Symbol that will make sense to you. If you haven't read The Lost Symbol you really should . . . after you read Angels and Demons and then The Da Vinci Code. Dan Brown is awsome. I just finished The Lost Symbol and I really enjoyed it.

Friday the 13th

So It’s Friday the 13th. *Insert high pitch moaning sounds here*

Are you superstitious? I’ve never been superstitious. I’ve never been bothered by a broken mirror, spilled salt, crossing paths with a black cat, walking under a ladder or opening an umbrella inside.

Right here I should mention that it’s a good thing that I’m not bothered by the black cat thing because we have eleventy thousand stray cats in this town. On Halloween night TWO black cats crossed my path! If that’s not bad luck I don’t know what is!

As of now, I'm happy to report that I've experienced no bad luck (no more than normal anyway) associated with this encounter.

What about you, are you superstitious? Maybe today I'll spill some salt or open an umbrella inside or break a mirror and see what happens . . .

 . . . Or maybe I shouldn't tempt fate . . .

HGotW - Second Edition

Welcome to this weeks edition of Hot Guy of the Week! Today's entry is one that I'm thinking will have a broader appreciation base than last weeks edition.  (Although to be fair I'm a HUGE fan of last weeks guy.) Well, without any further ado I give you this weeks Hot Guy.

Ewan McGregor

Last week I posted little tidbits under the pictures but I don't really know what to say for these.
They speak for themselves.

Ewan McGregor always makes me smile. Especially when he's a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He is so very funny and how can you not like a guy that looks like that and makes you laugh? Oh yea and if you've seen Moulin Rouge you know the guy can sing too!

Some things you might have seen him in:
  • Star Wars Episodes 1-3
  • The Island
  • Angels and Demons
  • Black Hawk Down
  • Moulin Rouge
  • The Men Who Stare At Goats
(Among other things)

And because I'm such a nice person . . . For the guys . . .

Salma Hayek

Dr. Suess, The Library and The Circus (Put them together and what do you get?)

Our town is a Circus City. Basically this means that over the winter the Circus stops here. There are at least three, possibly four, Circus' that live in our town. Because of this you can see Circus related stuff everywhere.

The Library is no exception to this. The Kiddo and I went to the Library the other day to hang out for a little while. He loved it.

(Note: I forgot my camera at home so these pictures were taken with my phone. Not excellent quality, but they'll do.)

Thanks for joining us at the Library. We came home with a plethora of Dr. Suess related materials. It was fun!

Random Tuesday Thoughts!

Happy Random Tuesday to you!!! If you like being random you should click the little box below and join the fun over at Keely's blog!

randomtuesday

1. We Finally bought a router! I'm so very very happy! I'm no longer confined to one spot on the sofa while using the computer! Freedom!

2. Happy Birthday to the United States Marine Corps!!

3. Do you still type "www." before your web addresses? Because I've noticed that it's not necesary (for the ones I've tried anyway) anymore. Although, I still type it almost all the time. It's ingrained into me. My fingers just automatically go there.

4. I really wish I had the whole series of Gilmore Girls on DVD. There are times I just want to watch it and I can't. I love that show.

5. It's ridiculously cute to hear my three year old "read" Green Eggs and Ham. Sam-I-am is every two or three words and then he goes through the list. "In a tree, in a box, in a car, with a fox. In a boat." It's great!

6. I finally discovered the "updated" version of the blog editor. I've been working with the old version and all the time wishing I had different options. Well, I finally found it!

7. I hate sucking stuff up in my straw. I don't care if it's an ice chip. (I don't do well with slushies.) Something about chuncks in my drink totally messes with my head and triggers my gag reflex.

8. I'm very picky about my hangers. I hate wire hangers. I only use the plastic ones that you can buy in packs of ten (or whatever). I realize I would have more room if I used wire hangers but I just can't bring myself to do it. I also toss (or leave at the store) the plastic hangers that clothes come on when you buy them. I know, I 'm strange.

9. I sang my Kiddo to sleep last night. I haven't done that in AGES!! Talk about Precious Moments. He's growing so fast. I'm really going to miss these time.

Happy Random Tuesday to you!!!

J's Surgery

Thankfully J's surgery went well.

On Friday morning we got up at 4:30 (UGH! ICK!) in order to leave the house by five in order to get to the hospital that was performing the surgery by seven. My Mother-in-Law drove (Thanks!) and it was a relatively uneventful trip. Except for the giant buck (Six pointer? give or take) that ran across the road in front of us. It's okay though, we missed it/it missed us.

We arrived a shortly before seven and hauled all our stuff (Computers, bag of books and a few toys for Kiddo, purses) into a waiting room and got comfy. I was happy to discover the hospital had wireless internet access.

The only problem at this point was the lack of coffee. I was up at 4:30 (I rarely sleep in the car) and now it's almost seven and I didn't have any coffee. Then we found out the cafeteria didn't open til 7:30. That was upsetting.

Anyway they took J back and told us that he was number four in line so it should be about an hour. TWO hours later they finally took him in for surgery.

The surgery went well and about an hour later I was sitting with him waiting for him to wake up. It took a while for the drugs to wear off and then the pain was severe. I felt so bad for him.

We were finally able to head home around 2:30. J sat in the middle in the back seat with his leg up between the driver and passenger seats. It was kind of amusing.

Right now he's in a massive brace. The doctor said that it is to remain immobilized for 10 - 14 days. (At this point I was half panicked, hoping we don't starve. Thankfully, I know God will take care of us but I still feel slightly anxious.) He's hoping to be able to go back to work before that. He'll just sit and do what he can sitting down. At the moment though he's still in lots of pain and prayers and thoughts are appreciated.

Back in Time

Taking a cue from Beth at C. Beth Blog. I thought I would give a heads up as to the content of todays post. It's a very Christian based post. I hope, however, you still read.

I saw the other day that The One-Minute Writer had a very interesting prompt.

It said:

Today's Writing Prompt: Video

Most major news events in 2009 are filmed by someone (or many people.) What historical event do you wish you could watch on video?

I didn't have to think long about this one. Although I know it may sound morbid I have to say that I would like to see the video of the crucifixion of Jesus.

Why? You ask. Well, let me tell you. When people have asked me if I could go back in time and see anything this is what I always answered. Now there are a bunch of other things I would like to see too but this is my first choice.

My reasoning behind this is this: I think that (and I must speak only for myself because I don't know where anyone else stands) I would appreciate much more what was done for me, there on that cross, if I could see it first hand.

I've read the Bible and I've seen the movies that try to depict it but to see it first hand, I think, would have a much more profound impact on me. To see exactly what happened, to see exactly the suffering that He went through for me (and you) would definitely cause me to think more about the things I do. I think I would also probably not complain very much. What I go through is NOTHING compared to what He went through.

Surgery, Finally!

I am writing this post on Thursday, just to let you know.

As you read we are currently at the Hospital with my J. He is FINALLY having his knee surgery. We've been waiting a very long time for this and are very glad it's happening now.

J injured his knee Years ago while playing sports and has been dealing with it ever since. He's re-injured it a couple times since then. Well, I don't know if it's re-injured as much as greatly aggravated the existing injury.

Today (Friday) he's having Arthroscopic surgery. They will make a Small incision and insert a small telescope like instrument inside. The image is transmitted to a video monitor so that they can see what's going on in there. Then they can perform surgical procedures via small incisions around the knee joint.

We're hoping and praying that it isn't anything major and he'll be back on his feet in very little time. I don't work and if he misses much work we're going to be in some (quite a bit) trouble financially.

So, as you go about your day please send prayers and good thoughts our way as we sit in the waiting room. I'll probably tweet from my phone occasionally.

Oh yea, I'm on Twitter. If you're interested in following me I can be found here.

HGotW - First Edition!

Well, ladies, Here it is! My first HGotW (Hot Guy of the Week) post! Keep in mind that the Hot Guy's featured here will be chosen by me according to my taste. I just want to say I'm sorry if you don't find my choice "Hot." Although I think that eventually we'll hit someone who everyone can agree on.

On to the feature. This weeks HGotW is:

Sean Bean

This photo is far too small to see it clearly but I like it anyway.
This is one of my favorites of him. It's doubled as my desktop background once or twice.
I just like the ruggedness of this one.
This photo is from a part he played in "Scarlett" (the Gone With the Wind sequel). This is the first film I remember seeing him in. I was 12(ish) and I've been in "love" ever since.
This photo comes from a series that he's been making for the BBC for Years. The Sharpe films are based on the books by Richard Cornwell.
Some movies that you might know him from include:

  • National Treasure

  • Goldeneye

  • Flightplan

  • The Hitcher (2007)

  • Troy

  • Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring

  • He's also in the upcoming Percy Jackson movie, which has yet to be released.

Well, that concludes this weeks HGotW. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Tune in next week (Either Wednesday or Thursday, not sure yet) for another edition!

Oh and just in case there are some guys out there reading this blog I thought I would include some eye candy for you too! My husband will be providing the featured Hot GIRL of the Week for this spot.
Angelina Jolie

This photo, by the way, is the photo that is currently featured on my husband's desktop background (well, actually only the top half). It's nice that we understand each other. Hehe.

Food and Fun (I need both)

Since the switch in my brain flipped at midnight on November first I've been all about Christmas planning.

I have a Christmas Party every year. It's always been fun. (I think, I hope.) I love planning it. I love the decorating. I love the cooking. (I HATE the washing of all the dishes though.)

On the invitation (It's pretty much only family unless there's a close friend in the area) I request that everyone bring a dinner dish (sort of like a pot luck) and a two liter of soda or something. So the dinner part of the cooking is covered. It's also fun to see what everyone will bring.

We do a "Chinese gift exchange" too. I love that part. If you don't know what that is it's when each person brings a gift (Being the non-rich people that we are I usually ask that everyone brings something valued at 5 dollars or greater. It makes it easier for everyone to play.) and then we draw numbers and choose gifts and steal them from each other and it's a lot of fun!

We usually play games too. When I can think up creative games.

Also I failed to mention dessert. I usually take care of all the desserts. Christmas baking is so much fun!

Which brings me to the point of this blog . . . I'm looking for fun, easy, tasty Christmassy (or not) dessert recipes! (I'll also accept any suggestions for Christmas party games.) I have an array of thing that I could make but I always love getting new recipes. So I thought I would ask around.

Thanks so much, in advance, for your help!

1. I hope everyone had a good Halloween. Did you Trick-or-Treat? We did, we got silly candy too. Barely any chocolate AT ALL. Three snickers which J ate. One Hershey bar and one package of Reese's pieces (which I ate). The rest was basically sweet tarts, smarties, dum dums and double bubble. No where near as good as last year.

2. Sometimes people annoy me! It's like they have no sense at all! Seriously man! Think! This is bad!

3. Have you ever been so tired you can't seem to accomplish anything? I'm sitting here with tab after tab open and I can't seem to get anything done. Things that need to be written are just staring at me because my brain can't concentrate enough to put words on paper.

4. WHY is it that the ONLY time the Kiddo takes a nap is when he is left home with Daddy? He NEVER takes a nap with me but as soon as I walk out the door (No matter WHAT time it happens to be) he's sleeping. Then after his late nap, who is stuck sitting up with him at night when he's too wound up to sleep? Not the one who let him sleep, no. Me, that's who!

5. Yesterday my cousin posted on Facebook that she was watching Sweeny Todd (Mmmm, Johnny Depp . . . that's another post) to which my other cousin responded "Dude, Musicals suck." I must say I do not agree! I love musicals (not ALL of them, but a lot of them). Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The Music Man, Grease, White Christmas, Moulin Rouge . . . on and on. So do you like musicals? Do you have a favorite?

6. Taking down the Halloween decorations today. Now I'll have to fight the urge to decorate for Christmas right now. I don't think I'll even last another two weeks. I'm kind of known for decorating Early. I can't help it, the mood hits and I just have too!

7. Ewan McGregor (Mmmm . . . wait, that's another post too!) is going to be on Craig Ferguson on Friday! I'm so so very excited about this. Ewan is a great guest. Together they are both extremely funny. When I heard about The Men Who Stare At Goats (I really want to see this) I got all excited hoping that while the actors were making the rounds promoting the film, Ewan might make it to Craig's show. He is! Yay!

8. Anyone interested in a "Hot Guy of the Week" kind of post? I'm tossing the idea around . . . we'll see. I may just include it in my RTT. Unsure at the moment.

9. My bestest friend is very creative and handy. She's opened an online store called An'gel Boutique. She has some skirts, baby girl head bands and (my favorite) some very cute purses. You can click the link here or the button on the side of my blog. Please go have a look? Thanks

10. Cate from Show My Face has created a new game called Seven Days Seven Answers. It's a lot of fun and a great way to get your creative juices flowing. You should check it out . . . now . . . go!

Wow, for thinking I didn't have anything to say I sure had a lot to say! I think this is my longest RTT so far! Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Trick-or-Treat

Trick-or-Treat! We had a great time on Saturday night. My little Pirate.
We didn't really get that much candy. It seemed there were less houses handing out candy (Well, actually none of the houses were handing anything out. It was the people at the house.) this year than last year. Maybe they were all Trick-or-Treating?
I guess I should consider it a blessing. Less candy to eat means less weight to gain. Although, it would have been nice to have some kinds of snacks around. (We got a lot of that silly candy too. NOT ONE REESE'S!!!)
All in all it was a pretty uneventful evening, as you can see from my short post.

The Christmas Bug

Happy November!!! It's almost time for Christmas!

J was making life difficult this morning. He didn't want to get out of bed when I woke him up (I don't blame him). He kept falling back to sleep.

So I told him "It's almost Christmas now!!" Then I put in a Christmas CD and cranked up the volume . . .

Mistake! Now I think I'll be playing Christmas music until New Years! I was hoping to last a bit longer before the Christmas bug bit me.

Oh, who am I kidding. I could see it coming a week ago! All the symptoms were there. Looking at Christmas decorations, playing Christmas games on Facebook. Making room on my MP3 player for Christmas music. Yup, I've got the Christmas bug.

Merry Christm - - - I mean, Happy November!!
